Ah, the "Hamburger Rathaus" - so pretty. If you live here, you get used to the architecture pretty quickly and don't find it quite as stunning any more.
Growing up in Celle, a small tourist town with one of the few old, intact city centres made almost exclusively from half-timbered houses in Germany (just like Rothenburg ob der Tauber, only in the north), I found it hilarious to watch the tourist (German and foreign alike) running from one pretty similar house to the other and taking pictures as though they were the eighth wonder of the world.
