1. You're really tall, right? You go as Spider Jerusalem, I'll be Yelena Rossini.

2. PUMPKIN PIE AND OTHER THINGS MADE OF PUMPKINS LIKE PUMPKIN LATTE AND PUMPKIN CURRY. And cranberry. I may be excited about pumpkins. A little.

3. Halloween, definitely. Don't celebrate Christmas, don't give a fuck about Hanukkah, didn't celebrate Thanksgiving at all until last year when my friends and I threw a party and it was actually quite fun, but I find the holiday politically problematic.

But Halloween has costumes! And cheap fishnets and black nailpolish on sale. And I can dress for work how I'd normally dress if I didn't have a job. Unfortunately it falls at the busiest time of the school year so I never get to plan exciting costumes anymore.

Also pumpkins I really like pumpkins a lot.

Yes I'm tall. I'm 6'1"! :D

Pumpkin pie is good. I'm also a big fan of eggnog, which never shows up until around this time. I suppose I could try making some.

I registered for the Tinkerbll marathon in May, and since it's a very costume heavy run, I was thinking of trying out a pirate costume once all the Halloween stores open up.

I don't love eggnog, unfortunately, despite it largely being composed of things I do like. Every so often someone offers me eggnog that is not 100% gross, but it is still something I'd prefer to avoid.

You would make a good pirate! I still don't know what my actual Halloween costume will be, or what my plans are. Last year I just hung out at home and handed out candy because I was too tired to do anything else, and was a bit sad about it.

I'm usually too busy to really do anything either. My borther makes super-elaborate costumes, and starts working on them months in advance. He was a Borg for one halloween.

I usually just go, "fuck it," and slop on some zombie makeup, as I always have that lying around the house. Generally when I come up with elaborate costumes, no one gets them anyway, so the effort is wasted.

I did go as Pippi Longstocking one year. I got mistaken for the Wendy's girl, but those who did get it thought it was hilarious and oddly arousing.

1. Something non-sexy. Possibly sodium chloride.
2. Potato salad. That goes with everything, right?
3. We don't get any big winter holidays. *sadface*

You know there has to be someone who finds sodium chloride sexy, right? :D

Anyone who doesn't like potato salad needs to be locked up in the looney bin!

I concur on both counts! I have also been highly amused the last couple of years by people taking the piss out of the 'sexy' halloween costumes that seem to be the only thing available for women, by making things like 'sexy homeless person' and 'sexy minecraft tree'.

;-)

Clearly you haven't been to the right Halloween parties! ;)

First of all, I'm glad to hear from you, I was worried you were effected by the earthquake. So you're OK?

1. Sugar and Cream. Get your mind out of the gutter! They're my two favorite ingredients!
2. My Ligita's Apple Cake, or maybe my chocolate molten cakes, or maybe my fudge brownie cake with homemade chocolate frosting.
3. Halloween, no doubt!

usually duo food costumes are salt and pepper. BBut sugar and cream? We can hang out with sodium cholride! (See [livejournal.com profile] tatjna comment above.)

My end of the earthquake was a slight shaker. I was very surprised to find out it was a 6 on the richter scale.

Mmmmmm... Chocolate molten cake...

Tatjna's sodium chloride is welcome anytime! Woohoo, a flavorful three-way!!!

Glad you're OK and weren't terribly impacted by the quake.

Yeah, the chocolate molten cakes are ridiculously good. Hard to make, but worth the effort. Takes like an hour and a half to make, and they're gone in 15 minutes. :(
